We are having a blast with Evergreen Theatre!!

We have been spending some of our mornings with Evergreen Theatre and learning how to perform and today we practiced some of the actions for our play on Friday. We will meet with Evergreen theatre everyday this week to work up to our performance to show families of Friday morning at 10:15-11:15. Ask your child about the actions in our play and what our play is about.

This week we are focusing on the _ill word family. Yesterday we came up with a list of words and today we practiced spelling them with a partner.

We are working on a new storytelling story. We have heard the story Little Beaver and the Echo and started to draw our story maps for storytelling.

We also had 2 special visitors this morning who talked to us about self-regulation and strategies to keep us in the green zone. Ask your child about some strategies they learned from Miss. Kim and Miss. Erin.

This afternoon the children had music and continued to work on their Little Beaver and the Echo story map.

We visited the learning commons and exchanged books for those who returned their books.

Save the Dates!

The grade one students would like you to make note of some upcoming special events. We will require volunteers for these activities. All volunteers MUST have a current CBE police clearance in order to volunteer, and therefore we strongly recommend that you complete the paperwork for this A.S.A.P. Please drop by the school office with picture ID to complete this application. If you already have clearance and would like to volunteer, please let you child’s teacher know.

Wet Felting (In-school activity) – April 8^th and 9^th.

Morning Swimming Lessons (Bus to Canyon Meadows Pool) – May 4^th-8^th.

Miss. Rinaldi will be away from Monday March 9th to March 12th.
