Welcome to February!

Highlights Of Our Learning:

-Yesterday we looked at the February calendar and talked about some important dates this month. Please see the FYI's for more information. We also talked about the fact that this year, February is a Leap Year!
-Students worked with the "---ing" family this week. We created and practiced reading numerous words including: sing, king, wing, sting, spring, bling, sling, fling, thing etc. Please review this word family with your child at home and see how many words they can share with you.

-We learned about our new math centers and did the first round today.
-We practiced reading poems from our Poetry books and read our leveled books to a friend.
-We had music and gym. Please ask your child to tell you the exciting things they did in those classes today.
-We have been busy getting everything ready to share on Thursday evening.
-All students exchanged their books at the Learning Commons.
